Engaged, not distant
I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and offer honest feedback. Our connection is part of the work, and you will not carry the conversation alone.
Awaken Spontaneity
Meet Juan Arambula
My work is grounded in a simple belief: healing happens through connection. I offer trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ affirming therapy for adults, couples, and families in Illinois and Colorado.
Connection before performance
You deserve room to be honest, complicated, uncertain, hopeful, and fully yourself.
Sometimes insight begins through conversation. Other times, a more active or creative approach helps us understand what is happening. I draw from experiential therapy, psychodrama, EMDR, and other approaches based on what fits the person or relationship in front of me.
Authenticity is not about having every answer or saying everything perfectly. It is about having room to notice what is true, make choices that reflect who you are, and build relationships where you can be known. We can begin with what is real.
What you can expect
I listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and offer honest feedback. Our connection is part of the work, and you will not carry the conversation alone.
We can move carefully without staying stuck. Your identities, choices, boundaries, and sense of what is true for you remain central to the work.
Alongside conversation, I may draw from EMDR, psychodrama, and experiential approaches when they fit you and your goals.

Finding the right fit
Start with a conversation
An initial consultation is our first opportunity to connect, talk about what brings you to therapy, and see whether working together feels right.
